Position Overview

As part of our client’s long-term growth strategy, the firm is accelerating investment in expanding its Corporate Services Advisory and Owner’s Project Management practice across the Mid-Atlantic. The Bethesda office serves as the regional hub supporting a diverse portfolio of corporate real estate, workplace strategy, capital programs, and large-scale development initiatives. The Vice President of Corporate Services is a senior leadership role responsible for driving business development, client leadership, market growth, and practice expansion across the Mid-Atlantic region. This leader oversees multiple corporate accounts and projects, manages cross-functional teams, and plays a central role in shaping the direction of the firm’s Corporate Services vertical.

The role operates within a matrixed leadership model, reporting to the Corporate Practice Leader for vertical strategy and to the Mid-Atlantic Regional Director for regional integration, talent, and office leadership.

Role Focus
• Lead and expand the company’s Corporate Services practice in the Mid-Atlantic
• Serve as a strategic advisor to corporate clients and internal delivery teams
• Grow and convert a robust corporate real estate pipeline and backlog
• Oversee complex projects and multi-disciplinary teams
• Align regional execution with firm-wide Corporate Services strategy

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Market Leadership
  • Lead corporate sector business development efforts across the Mid-Atlantic
  • Identify and pursue opportunities with corporations, workplace organizations, Fortune 500 companies, and institutional corporate users
  • Strengthen the firm’s visibility through industry leadership, speaking engagements, and professional associations
  • Build and manage a sustainable pipeline in coordination with Corporate Practice Leadership (strategic growth, vertical alignment) and Mid-Atlantic Regional Director (regional pursuits, office growth, staffing)
  • Guide pursuit strategy, competitive positioning, and go/no go decisions
Client & Project Leadership
  • Serve as the senior client facing executive for major corporate engagements
  • Provide strategic oversight across the full corporate real estate and project lifecycle: workplace strategy and portfolio optimization, capital and facilities planning, owner’s project management and representation, operational, regulatory, and stakeholder coordination
  • Ensure client satisfaction, financial performance, and the firm’s service standards
  • Lead multiple complex projects simultaneously, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget success
Team, Regional & Practice Leadership
  • Establish and grow the firm’s Corporate Services presence in the Mid-Atlantic office
  • Mentor corporate focused staff and help recruit and develop high performing regional talent
  • Partner with regional leadership to support staffing, resourcing, integration, and market diversification
  • Foster cross office collaboration—especially with Corporate Services leaders in Boston and other hubs
  • Reinforce the company’s values, culture, and commitment to exceptional client service
Strategic & Firm Leadership
  • Shape and execute long term strategy for the Corporate Services vertical with the Corporate Practice Leader
  • Ensure alignment on service delivery, client experience, and growth initiatives
  • Bring insights into corporate real estate trends, evolving workplace strategies, and industry dynamics
  • Contribute to firm wide planning and demonstrate an ownership-oriented approach to growth, profitability, and brand reputation
Core Competencies
  • Proven success in corporate real estate business development and client expansion
  • Strategic planning, market leadership, and executive level communication skills
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of project and portfolio economics
  • Ability to lead teams, manage multi project workloads, and operate in a matrixed structure
  • Industry credibility in corporate real estate, workplace strategy, capital programs, or development

Preferred Qualifications

  • Significant experience in corporate real estate, workplace strategy, capital planning, facilities, development, or advisory
  • Demonstrated success growing a corporate services practice, region, or business line
  • Track record of pursuing, winning, and leading significant corporate engagements
  • Strong executive presence and experience working with major corporate clients and CRE executives
  • Preferred Backgrounds include: • Corporate owner’s project management or advisory firms • Corporate focused design, engineering, or workplace strategy practices • Development or construction management organizations • Senior corporate real estate, facilities, or capital planning roles within corporate enterprises • Experience spanning design, construction, operations, and advisory is highly valued
