Mary Grace Clarkson joins Wood Advisors following a decade of experience in real estate development. Her experience spans multiple asset classes, several high growth markets, and both the public and private sectors. 

After starting off in the retail world, Mary Grace transitioned into multifamily where she worked at the institutional level with some of the industry’s largest and most reputable firms. Most recently, she was the Director of Development for North Carolina at AvalonBay Communities, where she focused on pipeline development and oversight of over 1,500 units in various stages of development. Her prior experience includes time at Wood Partners as Vice President of Development in South Texas and as an Associate at Greystar on their Mid-Atlantic team.

Mary Grace received her B.A. from Sewanee: University of the South and her M.B.A. at the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School, where she was a Kenan Scholar and received concentrations in Real Estate and Sustainable Enterprise. Originally from Lexington, KY, Mary Grace now resides in Washington, D.C. In her free time, you can find her skiing, swimming, or traveling with her family.
